Antique Staunton chess, draughts & backgammon set (c. 1950) – wooden 40.5×40.5×7 cm in a box

An authentic Staunton chess set, presumably from around 1950, in an integrated case that also serves as a backgammon or draughts game. A beautiful authentic object with charm and character, perfect for collectors or lovers of antique board games.

Condition:
Chess pieces and draughts pieces in good condition. All varnished and complete. The case appears very imposing. Some signs of use around but overall image good. Interior fabric-lined and somewhat frayed but fully functional. The draughts side is slightly warped at the edge.

Origin:
Probably manufactured around 1950 — classic Staunton-style chess pieces from that period.

Origin from a private collection; possibly Dutch but the exact origin is not known.
