Ignatius von Trauner (1638-1694) was a preacher and translator of Italian spiritual literature. In 1654 he entered the Benedictine order in Regensburg, from 1669 to 1681 served as prior as well as Sunday and feast-day preacher at the Imperial Abbey of St. Emmeram, and in 1691 he was elected abbot of St. Emmeram. Trauner, famed as a pulpit orator, published extensive collections of sermons that were primarily intended as aids for the sermons of his fellow clerics. Here is Volume 2 of the sermon collection that appeared between 1685 and 1690.
