The pen is presented in very good overall condition, showing remarkable preservation both aesthetically and functionally.

The body in black resin maintains an excellent shine and uniformity, with light micro-signal of prior use typical of a previously used piece, barely perceptible to the naked eye and in no way affecting its visual presence. No cracks, dents or deformations are visible.

The platinum-plated metal cap, characteristic of the Doué version, is in very good condition, preserving its original satin finish with minimal superficial marks from normal use. The clip has good tension and correct alignment.

The metal finishes (rings and ends) remain in good overall condition, with slight signs of handling but no significant material loss or relevant deterioration.

The Montblanc floating emblem at the top remains clean and well defined, without cracks or damage, preserving its characteristic visual effect.

The 14-karat gold nib is in very good condition, with no visible deformities, with correct alignment and ready to provide smooth writing. The pen has been inspected and tested, guaranteeing proper operation.

Taken together, it is a very well-preserved piece, with light signs of use consistent with its nature, that do not affect its aesthetics or performance.

Conservation recommendations

To keep the pen in optimal condition, it is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically for fountain pens, avoid pigmented inks, perform periodic cleanings with lukewarm water if not used for a while, dry it completely before storing, and keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is advisable to operate the filling system gently.
