Condition, Damage and Alterations

General Conditions:
The item presents itself in excellent vintage condition, maintaining the original structural integrity. No modern restoration work has been performed, thus preserving the precious historical patina sought by collectors.

Damage and Signs of Wear:
• Exterior (Monogram Canvas): The canvas is intact and shows no cuts or holes. Subtle superficial signs are visible, consistent with use and the piece's age.

• Hardware (Brass): The brass shows natural surface oxidation (dark patina). No major dents on the lock or on the corners.

• Leather (Handle and Edges): The natural cowhide of the handle has taken on a dark honey tone. There are signs of rubbing and small superficial cracks due to time, but the leather remains solid.

• Interior: The Vuittonite lining is clean and free of unpleasant odors. Small scattered brown stains and light signs of edge detachment near the inner edges are noted (physiological for period glues), which do not affect usability.

Restorations and Alterations:

• Restorations: No restorations have been performed. The piece is completely original in every part.

• Alterations: There are no structural alterations. It should be noted only the absence of the removable inner tray and the original key. No initials painted or removed.
