The Aletai meteorite is a rare and valuable iron meteorite of type IIIE-an, discovered in Xinjiang, China. Formed about 4.5 billion years ago, it stands out for its enormous size (tons), a unique structure with a high gold and iridium content, and characteristic Widmanstatten patterns. Officially named in 2016, it comprises several discoveries with synonymous names, including Armanty.
