No reserve price - Pendant Silver

A vintage (or antique) pocket perfume bottle (fragrance bottle) made of silver. These miniature bottles were intended to be carried in a handbag, pocket, or as a pendant on a chain, for which a special loop with a hole is provided at the top of the lid. Main characteristics of the item: Purpose: Storage and transportation of concentrated perfumes or aromatic oils. Material: Silver. During the Soviet period (1940s–1960s), similar items were mass-produced by jewelry cooperatives and factories (for example, the Veliky Ustyug Severnaya Chern Factory or the Tallinn Jewelry Factory), primarily from sterling silver. Technique: A plant or floral design was hand-applied to the front of the item using a burin carving (engraving). Design: A flat bottle with a removable (often screw-on) cap, which protected the perfume from evaporation and spillage. Similar rectangular and teardrop-shaped silver bottles were very popular in the first half and mid-20th century.
