Description:
Elegant antique cigarette case made of silver with a refined interior finish in vermeil (gold coating on silver). The front is adorned with a prominently hand-engraved monogram in Art Nouveau style, characterized by floral motifs and interwoven scrolls that appear to form the initials "CC" or "GG".
The gilded interior was originally meant to protect the tobacco from oxidation of the silver, and at the same time bestowed a look of great prestige to the object when opened.
