Piano - United Kingdom - 1870

This beautifully looking Erard piano comes from London and was built in 1870. The piano features fine ornaments and has a walnut burl veneer finish. The tone is typical of the era, intimate and restrained. Perfect for smaller rooms.

A few years ago the piano was completely restored in Germany:
- new strings
- new tuning pins
- new hammer heads
- new damper felt
- the ivory key coverings have been replaced by plastic
- the piano has been given a modern finish.

The soundboard is in excellent condition.
Hairline cracks are visible in the pinblock and on the soundboard, but do not affect the tone. Larger cracks were filled during the restoration.

Tuned to 432 Hz.
