Description from the seller
Beautiful old bottle of Old Fettercairn 10yo; 750 ml; 43,0%
One of the whiskies from the Highlands that is very popular with whisky searchers/lovers. This whisky has been climbing in popularity during the years. This Fettercairn 10yo is no longer produced today.
Colour: very rich gold.
Nose: a hint of sherry, notes of nuts, light peat, a slight touch of smoke, wet wool.
Body: light, soft, silky.
Taste: a nutty dryness and a toffee-like (yet elusive, light, and clean) sweetness; beautifully balanced. Some tasters detected a hint of rhubarb.
Finish: gentle with a clean sweetness, becoming perfumy. Lingering.
Fettercairn distillery is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Fettercairn. Situated under the Grampian foothills in the Howe of Mearns, Fettercairn town’s name is loosely based on the phrase "the foot of the mountain".
