In my version, David no longer brands the head of Goliath…
He holds the bear's head instead, a symbol of innocence, a pop icon, a reassuring mascot.
Because in our era, we don't topple giants anymore; we decapitate symbols.

Caravaggio's chiaroscuro against the absurd gentleness of a bear who does not understand what is happening to him.
Both funny, unsettling and a little tragic.
