Extraordinary, monumental, and extremely rare antique dining service, complete with all shape and service pieces, made in porcelain by the famous Società Ceramica Italiana di Laveno under its elite Verbano line.
The service stands out for its refined aesthetic of the Deco era: the wavy, finely lobed edges of every piece are embellished with a very fine gold trim and decorated with a romantically bucolic motif executed with utmost precision. The design alternates classic flower arrangements overflowing with roses in pink and yellow tones with pairs of little birds in flight with wings spread, shaded in blue. A poetic, luminous decoration of great visual lightness, magnificently representing the Italian bourgeois dining style of the first half of the twentieth century.

BRAND HISTORY: VERBANO - LAVENO
The green underglaze mark "VERBANO - LAVENO" with the crown enclosed in a triangle and topped by a bow identifies the premium production of the Società Ceramica Italiana di Laveno. Created to compete with the great European manufactories, the Verbano line featured a lighter ceramic body, an impeccable display, and artistically styled decors. This specific mark places the manufactory in the golden age of Lombard production, between the 1930s and the immediate post-war period.

CONDITION
Given the age and era of the service, the condition is to be considered excellent / superb:
* Integrity: No piece shows chips, cracks, glaze crazing, or restorations. Even the most delicate and fragile pieces (such as the spout and spoon of the sauceboat, or the handles of the tureen) are perfectly intact.
