Description from the seller
Splendid and iconic vintage drum machine Yamaha RX11 Digital Rhythm Programmer, an iconic digital rhythm programmer introduced by Yamaha in 1984. It is the first model from the Japanese company to use digital sampling in PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) technology, offering that characteristic 12-bit, clean and punchy sound that defined electronic music, synth-pop and the new wave of the 1980s.
The unit features 29 built-in rhythmic sounds (including several variants of snares, kicks, toms, cymbals and percussion such as cowbell, shaker and claps) accessible via the front-panel grid pads. It offers solid pattern programming, song management, an LCD display for parameter control, dedicated sliders for volume, tempo and data entry, plus full MIDI connectivity, which keeps it highly valued today in both vintage studio setups and modern music production.
Conditions
Cosmetic condition: Excellent vintage condition, showing normal and light signs of age and use on the chassis and buttons.
Operational notes: The unit powers on normally, all keys work correctly and the display responds to commands. Professional testing could not be performed, and being a vintage electronic device, a general technical service is recommended to ensure perfect long-term operation.
