The mechanical pencil is presented in very good overall condition, showing careful use in keeping with its age, preserving a very attractive aesthetic and an excellent presence in hand for being one of the most sought-after pieces of the renowned Writers Edition series.

The body and cap, made of precious resin with a subtle veining that mimics noble wood—in clear homage to the wood of the raft in Robinson Crusoe—maintain well-defined lines, with slight superficial marks typical of normal use, no dings, cracks, or deformations. The material retains its deep polish and an excellent shine.

The front conical tip maintains an impeccable finish, with the lead-out tip perfectly aligned and clean to guarantee precise writing.

Factory engravings, including the author Daniel Defoe's engraved signature on the cap, the crisp Montblanc logo, and the unique serial number corresponding to this limited edition, are in very good condition, remaining clean, legible and deeply etched.

Regarding function, the internal mechanical propulsion mechanism has been serviced and is delivered in proper working order, responding with total smoothness and precision.

The metal elements with a sober and elegant ruthenium-gold finish, including the iconic feather-shaped clip and the ornamented rings with classic filigrees from 18th-century bindings, are in very good condition, maintaining the original factory tension, fit and firmness without play.

The top cap stands out for housing the famous Montblanc star emblem, which remains immaculate, crowning the piece with its full original definition.
