Up for sale is a highly collectible, authentic vintage Thorens "Double Claw" semi-automatic petrol lighter. Precision-engineered in Switzerland, Thorens lighters are legendary among tobaccoriana enthusiasts for their unique mechanical ingenuity and superb craftsmanship.
This particular piece features a classic Art Deco engine-turned (guilloche) pattern with a blank monogram rectangular shield on the front.
100% Fully Working: Unlike many vintage lighters on the market, this Thorens is in excellent functional condition and sparks/lights up beautifully (as shown in the photos).
Mechanism: The iconic "double claw" mechanism snaps open smoothly and efficiently when the button is pressed.
Cosmetics: Great vintage condition with minor signs of honest wear/patina consistent with its age. No major dents or deep scratches. The plating still holds a wonderful, brilliant shine.
Markings: Clear stampings on the bottom: "THORENS", "PATENT", "FAB. SUISSE", and "SWITZERLAND". The flint wheel is also stamped with "SWISS".
