This lighter weighs 102 grams (compared to 75 grams for a standard Cartier lighter), which means it contains at least 25 grams of pure gold.

This lighter was customized with an 18-carat solid gold coating handmade by an Italian goldsmith long ago. The outer casing is crafted by weaving fine pieces of gold around the lighter. As can be seen, it presents virtually no flaws, something quite uncommon (most of these customized lighters are worn). On the base it bears the 750 gold hallmark, visible on the bottom of the sleeve.
