Vintage curved-wood coat rack with 5 matching bent-wood clothes hangers – Thonet style – approx. 1980

Elegant vintage standing coat rack in the classic Thonet style, manufactured circa the 1980s. Although this is not an original Thonet, it is a high-quality reproduction of bent beechwood, produced according to the traditional steam-bent wood technique.

The coat rack is supplied with five matching curved-beechwood clothes hangers, making the whole a particularly decorative and complete set. The warm dark-brown finish and the graceful lines give this coat rack the timeless look that bentwood furniture is known for.

The coat rack features multiple upper hooks, extra hooks for hats or accessories and a sturdy umbrella ring. It stands sturdily and is in a neat vintage condition with only light signs of use appropriate to its age.

Probably manufactured in Eastern Europe (Poland, Czechoslovakia or Romania) for the Western European market, circa 1980-1990.
