Traditional Orthodox icon of Saint Gregory Palamas, the 14th-century theologian and archbishop of Thessaloniki. Recognizable by his beard, his episcopal vestments with a cross motif, and the richly decorated Gospel book that he holds in his hand.

The painting has some wear spots in the gold color and at the edges and sides.

De schildering heeft wat slijtageplekken in de gouden kleur en aan de randen en zijkanten.
