Description from the seller

ROPP Bent Briar Pipe – Antique Tobacco Pipe
Maker: Ropp, France — a historic French pipe manufacturer founded in the early 20th century (patented the metal-tenon "system" pipe in 1904), well regarded for traditional briar pipes.
Material: Briar wood bowl with vulcanite (ebonite) stem, marked "ROPP" on the stem shank.
Shape: Bent bulldog/pot-style bowl with a sharp 90° elbow bend, tapered saddle stem.
Dimensions: 15.5 x 4.5 x 3.3 cm
Weight: 36 g
Condition: Used, fully functional estate pipe. The bowl shows an attractive aged briar grain with natural patina from years of smoking. There is visible cake buildup inside the bowl from prior use, and a small chip/crack at the shank rim where it meets the stem (visible in photos). The stem shows light oxidation typical of vulcanite age. No structural damage — draws and functions as intended.
Age: Vintage/antique — estimated mid-20th century based on shape and stamping style, exact production year unknown.
