Montblanc Bohème Rouge Gold Line rollerball pen in black precious resin with yellow gold plating, 12 cm long and 2 cm in diameter, made in Germany from the Fine 20th Century period, serial number MF2172630, in good used condition and in working order, with a stonelike red synthetic gem on the clip and the white Montblanc star on the cap.
Description from the seller
In this presentation we introduce an accessory of extraordinary elegance, characterized by unique proportions and an unmistakable touch of vibrant personality: the Montblanc Bohème Rouge Gold Line Roller Pen.
The Bohème collection stands clearly apart from classic lines for its bold and compact design, with flat ends and a slightly wider barrel that guarantees exceptional ergonomics and perfect portability. The body and cap are made in the traditional black precious resin, mirror-polished to create a luxurious contrast with the bright yellow gold-plated finishes. The true protagonist of this jewel is the magnificent clip: set inside it shines a luminous synthetic ruby-colored gem (Rouge) with a cross-cut rectangular cut, which gives the instrument a marked and passionate identity. On the flat top sits the famous Montblanc white star.
From a technical point of view, we are dealing with a highly versatile Roller (Rollerball / Fineliner). An ingenious peculiarity of the Bohème Roller line is the cap with internal threading: in addition to securely closing the pen, it is designed to be screwed onto the rear end during writing, giving the instrument perfect balance and length. As documented by the photographs showing the pen disassembled, replacing the refill (currently equipped with a Montblanc Fineliner) is simple and quick by unscrewing the front cone from the main body.
The conservation state of the item should be considered generally excellent. The precious resin maintains a splendid shine and is structurally perfect, completely free of cracks, chips, or signs of drops; only very slight and physiological micro-scratches (hairlines) visible in backlight, a natural result of careful use. The yellow gold plating remains well preserved, shiny and free of oxidation. The red synthetic gem is firmly set and sparkling.
