Sculpture, Inséparable - 27 cm - Marble, Bronze, Porcelain

Elegant decorative cabinet sculpture featuring an azure exotic bird (inseparable type or small parrot) perched on a stylised tree branch.

This unique piece stands out for the harmonious combination of three noble materials: porcelain, bronze and marble.

The subject (Bird): Shaped in fine porcelain (or ceramic) with a glossy glaze in shades of sky blue and cobalt blue. The lines of the plumage are clean and modern.

The structure (Branch): In solid patinated bronze, imitating a knotted trunk with a hint of finely chiselled leaves. The base of the trunk features a clean cross-section of a log.

The base: A heavy geometric base in solid black marble, polished. The top surface of the marble reveals a circular cavity in origin, evidence of the use of an old marble base (an antique inkwell or desk tray) cleverly repurposed for this mount.
