Fine Jasperware Relief Plaque – Sage Green & White – Neoclassical Gentleman – England, late 19th / early 20th century

A finely modelled Jasperware relief plaque, produced in sage green stoneware with a white applied relief depicting a young neoclassical gentleman standing beside a classical pedestal adorned with swags.

The elegant Rococo-style border frames the composition beautifully, while the crisp modelling and matte finish are characteristic of high-quality English Jasperware inspired by the famous Wedgwood productions.

The reverse bears the impressed mould number 6479.1A and retains its original hanging wire.

An attractive decorative plaque suitable for both collectors of Jasperware and lovers of Neoclassical decorative arts.
