The pen is presented in very good overall condition, showing remarkable preservation both aesthetically and functionally.

The black resin body maintains excellent shine and uniformity, with slight micro-signs of use typical of a piece previously used, barely perceptible to the naked eye and not in the least affecting its visual presence. No cracks, chips, or deformations are observed.

The platinum-coated metal cap, characteristic of the Doué version, is in very good condition, preserving its original satin finish with minimal surface marks from normal use. The clip shows good tension and correct alignment.

The metal finishes (rings and terminals) maintain a good general state, with slight signs of handling but without significant material loss or relevant deterioration.

The floating Montblanc emblem on the top remains clean and well defined, with no cracks or damage, maintaining its characteristic visual effect.

The 14-karat gold nib is in very good condition, with no visible deformations, proper alignment, and ready to offer smooth writing. The pen has been serviced and tested, guaranteeing its correct operation.

Overall, this is a very well-preserved piece, with light signs of use consistent with its nature, which do not affect its aesthetics or performance.

Conservation recommendations

To keep the pen in optimal condition, it is recommended to use high-quality fountain pen inks, avoid pigment inks, perform periodic cleanings with lukewarm water if it is not used for a while, dry it completely before storing, and keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is advised to operate the filling system gently.
