Description:

An authentic “Micro David-Off”, part of the famous “Les Portables” series (1972) by the Spanish sculptor Miguel Ortiz Berrocal — world-renowned for his disassemblable “puzzle sculptures,” in which a complete artwork can be dismantled into dozens of precision parts. Berrocal worked from 1967 in Verona, Italy, where he collaborated with specialized foundries; his work was exhibited internationally alongside contemporaries such as Miró and Dalí.

This piece consists of 16-17 interlocking parts that together form a male torso, with a hidden ring incorporated into the composition — a characteristic, playful element in Berrocal’s “portable sculptures.” According to the handwritten certificate, this piece is bronze, gold-plated in 1980.

Signed “Berrocal” on the shoulder.
