Description from the seller
Chinese Export Porcelain Teacup – Hand-Painted Floral Decoration – Qing Dynasty – Late 18th / Early 19th Century
A delicate antique Chinese export porcelain teacup, finely hand-painted with floral sprigs in pink, blue, green and iron-red enamels, complemented by an elegant polychrome floral border and a delicate iron-red line around the inner rim.
The cup features the refined shape and hand-finished details characteristic of Chinese export porcelain produced for the European market during the late Qing period.
The unmarked base is typical of many export wares of the period.
Condition is good considering its age, with no visible cracks or repairs. Minor firing imperfections, light wear to the decoration and small age-related stains are consistent with over 200 years of age. Please study the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
A charming example of early Chinese export porcelain, suitable for collectors of antique ceramics and Qing Dynasty wares.
