This specialized revue is devoted to the study of tropical agricultural production and the economic development of the colonies. Edited by A. Milhe-Poutingon, it publishes scientific and technical articles on the major colonial crops (coffee, cacao, rubber, cotton, oil palm, sugar cane, textile plants), applied botany, cultivation methods, experimental stations, and markets for tropical products.

It also reports on the work of agronomists, exploration missions, and the progress made in the various French and foreign colonial possessions.
