Beautiful and complete precision balance from the mid-20th century, made of brass and kept in the original velvet-covered case. Such balances were used by jewelers, goldsmiths, apothecaries and laboratories for the utmost accurate weighing of small quantities.
The set is in nice used condition, complete and functioning as it should. The balance is fitted with two brass weighing scales on fine chains and comes with the original weight set in grams and milligrams.
