A vintage hand‑forged 18 karat yellow gold ring, 4.2 g, EU size 55 (US 7¼), with a natural 1.0 ct sapphire centre surrounded by 20 natural diamonds (0.80 ct) and 6 diamonds on the shoulders (0.09 ct), total stones ca. 1.89 ct, stamped JP master mark and GG750, made in France in good used condition.
Description from the seller
A hand-forged vintage yellow gold ring set with a central sapphire surrounded by diamonds. Diamonds are also set on the shoulders. The ring was made by a French goldsmith with the master mark JP, with a grain sheaf in between. At the back of the setting you can clearly see that it has been hand-opened in a beautiful pattern to let as much light through as possible for the stones' brilliance. The sapphire is natural, and the fingerprinting in the stone is clearly visible from the back.
Stones:
1 x 1.0 ct sapphire - oval cut
14 x 0.05-0.03 ct diamonds in the entourage - brilliant cut - total approx. 0.80 ct H/SI
6 x 0.015 ct diamonds on the shoulders - brilliant cut - total approx. 0.09 ct G-H/VS-SI
Size: ring size 17.5 mm / 55 EU - front 12 x 14 mm
Weight: 4.2 grams
Stamped with French hallmark eagle and the master mark JP in a diamond on the outside and GG750 on the inside.
Most gemstones have been treated for color and/or clarity. Whether this is also the case with these stones has not been tested in a laboratory.
