Stephen Barlow is an American artist known for his realistic engravings of nature and wildlife, often incorporated into decorative objects such as mirrors, clocks and wall panels. These pieces were especially popular in the 1980s–1990s in the United States and Canada, when they were produced in limited editions by Barlow Designs, Inc.

The mirror you are shown belongs to the Barlow Collection, according to the label on the back. The oval engraving at the top depicts two ducks in flight, a typical Barlow subject, who often depicted water and forest animals with fine linework and soft tones.
