Description from the seller

Peterson of Dublin - Rare Late Republic 'Donegal' Red Spigot (Shape 106) - Sterling Silver - 1981

Description:

A scarce vintage Kapp & Peterson estate pipe from a limited higher-grade rusticated production, representing one of Peterson’s more refined interpretations of a classic working pipe. This is a rare combination featuring Peterson's iconic, craggy 'Donegal Rocky' style rustication, executed in their high-grade double Sterling Silver Spigot line.

*Brand/Model: Peterson's Dublin - Red Spigot ('Donegal Rocky' Rustication)
*Era: Late Republic Era (1981)
*Finish: Deeply rusticated with a striking ruby red and black contrast stain
*Silverwork: Handmade double sterling-silver spigot mount
*Irish hallmarks: Stamped in Dublin Castle with the italic lowercase year letter 'o' (confirming the exact year 1981)
*Mouthpiece: Black vulcanite/ebonite (Fishtail)

Condition: It has been carefully cleaned and conservatively restored with respect for its age, original craftsmanship and natural patina. The aim was not to make it appear factory new, but to preserve its authentic vintage character while returning it to excellent smoking and cosmetic condition. The silverwork shows no dings, and the hallmarks remain crisp and clearly legible. The mouthpiece has been thoroughly cleaned and polished, and is free of oxidation or deep bite marks. The pipe has been carefully cleaned internally and is ready to smoke.

Nomenclature & Authenticity Note:
Please note that as is customary and factory-standard for Peterson's heavily rusticated pipes from this era, there are no stamped nomenclature or model numbers on the briar wood itself. Because of the deep, craggy texture, stamping the wood was impossible. Instead, the pipe’s authenticity, brand and exact dating are documented by the original engravings and hallmarks on the sterling-silver spigot mount.

Comes complete with the pictured original cream-colored Peterson pipe pouch and a Peterson box, albeit from a different model.
Stand is not included.
The photos are part of the description so please study them carefully.

This item will be carefully packed and shipped with full insurance.
