Technical Description

A rare set of six Friedrich Heckert wine hock glasses dating to c1900. They have ovoid bowls above tapered bobbin stems with applied prunts. Raised domed feet. Hand-painted colourful enamel wildflowers over a gold iridescent lustre.

An outstanding set of glasses in superb original condition.

The Fritz Heckert - Petersdorfer Glashütte took its name from its founder who died in 1887. The business purchased the Jospehinehütte factory in 1918 having continued to prosper under the leadership of his widow and son Bruno.
