Le Monde de la Mer. Deuxieme edition. 1866
Large thick octavo, very well illustrated with colour plates and text engravings, pp x, 693, bevelled fore-edge, all edges gilt, a little foxing internally, but overall very good and firm.
Original publisher's red shagreen binding, moire endpapers, the spine with raised bands and gilt decoration, a little worn at the corners, slightly rubbed at the head and tail of the spine and at the joints.

We have been specialist booksellers for nearly forty-seven years. My original training was in horticulture, and I have the Diploma from the Royal Botanic Garden, Kew, and I am a Fellow of the Linnean Society. We have been fortunate in acquiring many major collections from prominent botanists and naturalists over the years, and our website stock reflects this and contains many unusual and esoteric items.
