Description from the seller
Founded in 1972 by Ray Duncan and Justin Meyer in Napa Valley, California, Silver Oak Cellars owns two vineyards in Oakville and Healdsburg. This winery stands out for its exclusive focus on the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, aged in American oak barrels. The grapes for this wine come from Soda Canyon Ranch, regarded as exceptional for producing this variety in Napa Valley.
The bouquet of this 1991 wine reveals a beautiful harmony of dark fruits and notes of toasted spices. With aeration, nuances of black currant, blackberry, and toasted vanilla emerge, accompanied by hints of raspberry, sage, and spearmint. Tertiary aromas of graphite, cigar box, black plum, leather, and cedar complete this complex aromatic profile. On the palate it shows a silky and refined texture, with a full and rich fruity sensation. The finish lingers generously over the spices and dark fruits, reflecting a fine concentration.
Great wine to enjoy now after years of aging in a climate-controlled winery at 16°C with humidity control.
