Description from the seller
Lot consisting of 2 bottles of Montevertine Toscana IGT “Montevertine” from the 1991 vintage. It is a great Italian red wine from Radda in Chianti, in Tuscany. This is the historic wine of the Montevertine winery, a cult producer known for its traditional and elegant interpretation of the famous Chianti Classico area.
It is a historic wine, produced between 1971 and 1981 as Chianti Classico Montevertine and, since 1982, after the winery left the Chianti Classico Consortium, simply as Montevertine. It is vinified with carefully selected grapes of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino and has aged for two years in Slavonian and Allier oak barrels.
The bottles have always been kept in the winery, under suitable conditions to preserve its evolution and quality. A lot especially interesting for collectors and lovers of great Tuscan wines with long bottle evolution.
