Figure - Puttengruppe - Patinated bronze

For sale is an imposing and meticulously crafted bronze sculpture that depicts the mythological scene of Amor and Psyche. The motif is based on the famous design by the French sculptor François Barois (1656–1726) and also bears the designation “Ch. Lévy” on the reverse.
It is a newer, very high-quality cast in solid bronze. The figures captivate with fine detail and an noble, dark patina. The sculpture is firmly mounted on a profiled round plinth made of noble Italian Nero Portoro marble with striking gold and white veining.

Condition: Very good decorative condition with beautiful patina (see photos). The bronze stands firmly on a profiled round plinth made of genuine, deep-black marble with fine white and slightly gold veining (Portoro style). The plinth is in flawless condition.
