Pair of monumental carved wooden heraldic wall plaques with framed prints after Juliusz Kossak.

An impressive pair of large antique wall decorations dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century (circa 1900).

Each plaque is richly carved from wood and decorated with heraldic and military motifs, including a royal crown, banners, spears, swords and oak leaves. The centre features an oval framed print after a work by the renowned Polish artist Juliusz Kossak (1879). The prints bear the artist’s name in the plate and the inscription “Seitz, Mannheim”.

These monumental decorative panels were designed as a matching pair and make an exceptional statement in a classic interior, library, hunting lodge or historic residence.

Condition: Good antique condition with expected signs of age and use. Minor wear, patina and small losses consistent with age. Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
