Opening egg in solid silver from the late 20th century with its matching stand. Silver, enamel and pearls.

Superb display item composed of an opening egg in solid silver and its original stand, also in solid silver. Total height of the piece: about 8 cm.
The egg is coated with a deep, bright green enamel, enhanced by a finely worked mount set with genuine pearls and faceted stones bringing sparkle and refinement. The interior is mirror-polished, with a perfectly functioning hinge.
Presenting various silver hallmarks, among which the Lisbon 925 hallmark is visible on the bale as well as inside the egg, attesting to the metal quality.
The stand, also in solid silver, is richly worked. It features touches of blue enamel and a sculpted decor with motifs. The whole is embellished with inset faceted stones, offering an elegant contrast between the intense green of the egg and the bluish tones of the base.
This is a particularly careful goldsmith’s work, revealing refined know-how and great mastery of traditional techniques of solid silver, enameling and marcasite setting.
The finesse of the openwork, the quality of the finishes, and the harmony between enamel, silver and stones testify to a high-level creation intended for a demanding clientele.
