The Aletai meteorite is a rare and valuable ferrous siderite (iron meteorite) of the IIIE-an type, discovered in Xinjiang, China. Formed 4.5 billion years ago, it stands out for its large size (in tons), a unique structure with high gold and iridium content, and characteristic Widmanstätten patterns. Officially named in 2016, it brings together several synonymous discoveries, including Armanty.
