Montblanc Meisterstück Solitaire Ramses II ballpoint pen, with lapis lazuli cap and vermeil (925 silver plated in gold) body, 13 cm long and 1.2 cm in diameter, origin Germany, dating to the Fine XX century, serial XX1957504, in excellent condition with rare use, includes original box and Service Guide.
Description from the seller
In this listing we present one of the most iconic, luxurious, and sought-after models by collectors worldwide, a true masterpiece of goldsmithing applied to writing: the Montblanc Meisterstück Solitaire Ramses II Ballpoint Pen. This discontinued model is a majestic tribute to the grandeur of the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt and represents the pinnacle of elegance in the Solitaire line.
The design and choice of materials are breathtaking. The cap is masterfully crafted in authentic lapis lazuli, a semi-precious blue stone enhanced by natural, luminous golden inclusions of pyrite. This stone, regarded as sacred and a symbol of royalty since antiquity, makes every single pen a unique and unrepeatable piece.
The body creates a spectacular chromatic contrast, forged in precious vermeil (sterling silver 92.5% silver fully gold-plated) and decorated with a refined vertical guilloche pattern (pinstripe guilloché). The brilliance of the gold blends divinely with the starry-sky effect evoked by the lapis cap. At the top reigns the unmistakable Montblanc white star.
The condition is graded as excellent. As your excellent photographs demonstrate, the gilding of the body is mirror-like and shows no signs of wear, oxidation, or dings. The lapis is perfectly smooth and intact, and the internal twist mechanism is impeccable. To elevate the prestige of this lot, the pen is supplied with its original set, including the elegant Montblanc case and the "Service Guide" booklet.
