Description from the seller
Mason’s Ironstone “Mandalay” Pair of Candlesticks with KPM Cabinet Plate – England & Germany – 3 Pieces – Circa 1970–1980s
Description
An elegant and highly decorative collection comprising a matching pair of Mason’s Ironstone “Mandalay” candlesticks and a beautiful KPM porcelain cabinet plate, combining the craftsmanship of two renowned European ceramic manufacturers in one refined display lot.
The Mason’s candlesticks are decorated in the iconic Mandalay pattern, introduced in 1976. Inspired by traditional Imari designs, the pattern features vibrant cobalt blue, rich iron-red floral decoration and luxurious hand-applied gold gilding on a creamy ivory ironstone body. Their elegant hexagonal form and finely detailed decoration make them a striking addition to any classic or contemporary interior.
Complementing the candlesticks is a charming KPM porcelain cabinet plate, dating from the late 20th century (circa 1970s–1980s). Beautifully decorated with delicate floral sprays, a moulded border and an elegant gilded rim, it provides a graceful contrast to the bold Mandalay pattern while creating a harmonious display.
This attractive three-piece collection is ideal for collectors of Mason’s Ironstone, KPM porcelain and quality European decorative ceramics. Whether displayed on a mantelpiece, cabinet or dining room dresser, it offers timeless elegance and enduring decorative appeal.
