Handmade glazed terracotta vase - Giovanni Buccella (Italy) - 20th century
Charming handmade glazed terracotta vase, entirely crafted and decorated by hand by the Italian ceramicist Giovanni Buccella.
This piece stands out for its rustic and dynamic decoration of twisted spiral bands.
Signature: Carved in a very legible way under the base: "Buccella Giovanni" accompanied by the inscription "2 E".
Alternating bands of cobalt blue, earthy brown, and milky white, showing a beautiful crackle glaze effect, with slight greenish nuances.
Wheel-throwing and traditional glazing work. The interior of the neck reveals the raw, authentic grain of the terracotta.
Second half of the 20th century.
Good used condition. Presence of small firing irregularities and original glaze skips (visible in the close-up photos) that add charm and authenticity to this handmade production. No major cracks.
