"S.T.B. FIORENTINA - Vase - Faience

Superb and rare glazed ceramic sculptural vase from the 1950s, made in Italy by the famous SIB / STB Fiorentina (Florence) manufacturer. True icon of Mid-Century Modern design, this piece adopts an asymmetrical “Free Form” style, reminiscent of the elegant silhouette of a harp or a slender horn with a large openwork handle.

This vase was designed to offer two radically different aesthetics depending on the viewing angle:
Face A: An abstract textured decor in warm tones (beige, yellow, green) enlivened by graphic white swirls (technique close to sgraffito).
Face B: A minimalist and clean cream-white panel, crossed by sinuous vertical lines in brown and black painted by hand.
