Rare surviving episodes from various Sunday Comics sections, featuring episodes of Granny Goodthing by Foster M. Follett on one each single full page. Published in 1910. 15 pages
On the back we find Mr. Scrapple of Philadelphia, Mr. O.U. Absentmind (by Bray), Poor old Robinson Crusoe, Bub, he's always to blame.
On 4 pages there is some white paper at the left side (see photos). They were perhaps connected to other papers at the time...
“Granny Goodthing” by Foster M. Follett. Follett was one of the many great turn-of-the-century newspaper cartoonists to come from Ohio (Sandusky, originally). His work appeared in The New York World, The Saturday Evening Post, Life Magazine, and Collier’s Weekly, and like a number of cartoonists from his time, he was an early animator as well. In addition to “Granny Goodthing,” he created the “Tidy Teddy,” “Skeezicks,” “The Kid” and “Private Conscience.”
The pages are in good condition, although wrinkles, tears, flaking and missing pieces may occur.
