Description
Offered is a beautiful and decorative Chinese chess set, housed in a foldable wooden box with refined carving.
The chessboard is inlaid with charming ceramic/porcelain tiles, printed with traditional Chinese scenes and landscapes. The board is framed in a sturdy wooden frame decorated with hand-carved motifs (including dragons/flora) and equipped with brass fittings and handles.
Inside the compartments/ drawers there is storage lined with felt to safely store the playing pieces. The detailed chessmen depict traditional Chinese figures, warriors, horses and pagodas in a contrasting green and brown finish.
