Antique Sterling Silver Physician's Wax Seal – Rod of Asclepius – Monogram – c. 1880–1920
An elegant antique sterling silver physician's desk wax seal, beautifully crafted in the form of the Rod of Asclepius, the traditional symbol of medicine.
The seal features a finely engraved interlaced monogram on the matrix, indicating it was originally commissioned as a personal seal for a physician or medical professional. The design combines refined craftsmanship with an iconic medical motif, making it an attractive piece for collectors of medical antiques, silverware, and writing accessories.
The hand-finished construction and engraved monogram are consistent with pieces dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century (circa 1880–1920).
