Antique Arabic Oud (ʿUd) – Handcrafted Syrian-Style Marquetry – Mid-20th Century Beautiful handcrafted Arabic oud featuring exceptional geometric marquetry and carved wooden rosettes. This traditional Middle Eastern oud displays outstanding craftsmanship with extensive mother-of-pearl and wood inlay covering the bowl, neck, and pegbox. The soundboard is decorated with three finely carved rosettes framed by intricate geometric patterns, while the back is covered in classic Damascus-style mosaic marquetry. The instrument is believed to date from the 1960s–1980s, most likely originating from Syria (Damascus workshop) or another Levantine center of oud making.
