Must De Cartier - Santos-dumont - Spectacles

Eyewear frame by Cartier Santos Dumont Aviator (belonging to the historic Les Must de Cartier line launched in the 1980s).

Materials and Finishes: The main frame is thickly plated in yellow gold (usually 18k or 22k).

The center bridge and the front terminals are enriched with satinized platinum (or palladium) inserts to create a refined bi-galvanic two-tone effect.

Iconic detail: The central element on the double bridge and the side hinges host the famous contrasting decorative screws, an aesthetic homage directly to the exposed screws of the legendary Cartier Santos watch born in 1904.

Temples: Thin, in gold-colored metal, ending with acetate tips in burgundy red (the institutional color of the Cartier Maison).

Nosepads: In transparent/yellowed acetate from age, internally marked with Cartier's interlocked "Double C" logo.

Authenticity stamps: Inside the bridge and beneath the metal nose piece are inscribed the lens width, the Cartier Paris mark, the inscription Made in France, and the unique serial number punched on the axle.
