Description from the seller

Important Baroque-Rococo style ornamental vase with lid, featuring a cherub, rich raised floral decoration, and a silver lustre finish – Italy, circa 1965–1980

Impressive and scenographic ornamental vase with lid in Italian artistic ceramic, inspired by the elegance of Baroque-Rococo taste, characterized by a very rich three-dimensional decoration and by a refined silver lustre finish with a strong visual impact.

The entire surface is embellished with raised decorative panels painted entirely by hand with delicate floral motifs in pink and green tones, enriched by elegant gold details. The brilliant metallic finish creates a striking reflective effect that enhances the ceramic modelling and gives the piece a remarkable visual presence.

The lid is topped by a refined hand-sculpted cherub, while numerous gold floral appliqués, distributed harmoniously over the body of the vase and the lid, are accented by original red glass cabochons, all perfectly preserved and complete. The feet also feature rich raised decorative elements, crafted with great attention to detail.

The piece was produced through ceramic modelling, followed by glazing, manual decoration, and the application of numerous ornamental elements, a process that requires multiple execution stages and gives the piece depth, decorative richness, and high aesthetic quality.

The base bears the number 106, hand-painted, accompanied by a handwritten factory mark not perfectly identifiable, Italy.
