Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Mid‑century modern ceramic small jug by Villeroy & Boch with a Dagmar decor, circa 1950s, featuring a slender neck, pale white glaze with a vertical black‑white line pattern, 12 cm high and 11 cm in diameter, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and spotting, stamped with V&B, M and Dagmar along with the form number 4244.
Description from the seller
Elegant ceramic teapot with a slender, slightly flaring neck and an organically shaped handle that flows smoothly into the shoulder line. The body is round and stable, with a subtly profiled foot. The surface is finished with a matte white glaze on which a graphic black-and-white linear decoration is applied. The vertical stripes vary in thickness and rhythm, creating a dynamic optical effect that is typical of modernist design from the 1950s–1960s.
The interior is fully white-glazed. A slight crackle is present, consistent with the glaze type and the piece’s age.
The Dagmar decoration is one of the modernist décors from the mid-20th century Villeroy & Boch collections.
On the underside there is the factory stamp and some other markings, not all decipherable. Clearly legible are the letters ‘V&B’ with underneath ‘M’ plus, among other things, the word ‘Dagmar’ (decor designation) and the pressed model number, presumably 4244.
The shipping cost may vary depending on the destination country. Please request information in advance!!
Examples: Germany, France, Netherlands: 17 euros,
England (BREXIT !!! import taxes), Greece, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Spain: 35 euros,
Other countries: 65 euros
