Set of 2 large religious glass candlesticks – Sacred Heart of Jesus & Mary – Val Saint Lambert style – circa 1930-1955

Beautiful and rare set of two large religious glass candlesticks, made in clear and frosted glass. The candlesticks depict the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, beautifully worked out in an elegant, sculptural form.

Both candlesticks rest on richly decorated bases with graceful relief. The decoration of the base and neck differs slightly between the two pieces, which is typical for this type of older religious glass objects and highlights the artisanal character. With a height of 29 cm they form an impressive and decorative whole, suitable in both a religious and an Art Deco or antique interior.

Executed in the style of Val Saint Lambert, without a visible signature. In nice vintage condition with normal signs of use appropriate to the age.
