Ginkgo Japanese Blended Malt Whisky - 70cl

Ichiro's Malt Ginkgo is a rare and highly sought-after Japanese blended malt, created by the renowned whisky maker Ichiro Akuto, whose family founded the now-legendary Hanyu Distillery. Released in 2007 in a limited run of approximately 6,000 bottles, this expression has become a prized collectible among enthusiasts of Japanese whisky.

The whisky takes its name from the ancient Ginkgo tree, a remarkable species believed to have existed for more than 150 million years. Revered for its resilience and traditional medicinal uses, the Ginkgo is unlike any other tree, occupying its own unique place in botanical classification. Its enduring nature makes it a fitting symbol for a whisky that celebrates Japan's rich distilling heritage.

Blended from a selection of Japanese single malts, Ginkgo is particularly significant because Japanese distilleries have historically been reluctant to exchange spirit with one another. As a result, whiskies of this nature are exceptionally uncommon.
